Our mission is to perpetuate the warrior art of Jugoshin Ryu Jujutsu, specifically the martial arts passed down from antiquity through the Samurai of Japan. While we embrace the many positive aspects that can be derived through the practice of martial arts, our supreme endeavor is that of perfect self-defense; invincibility.

Team Groundworks Jiu-Jitsu Association was created for anyone who may be interested in only Brazilian/Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. We pride ourselves on having pure and unbroken lineage from Grandmaster Helio Gracie to Master Rickson Gracie to Sensei Brandon Hetzler. Our Jiu-Jitsu is self defense oriented as taught to Brandon Hetzler from Master Rickson Gracie. Sensei Hetzler has created a complete and easy to follow system from white belt to black belt.
Unlike other Gracie or BJJ schools, Mr. Hetzler has mandated that to become a black belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu under the Team Groundworks name, one must also hold a level 1 certificate in Jugoshin Ryu Jujutsu striking techniques.
